Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LANE ("Lane", "we", "our", or "us"), a swim-performance tracking app for swimmers, parents, coaches, and summer swim teams.

By creating an account or using Lane, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who may use Lane

Lane is intended for swimmers, parents, guardians, coaches, and team administrators who want to track swim times, goals, meet schedules, team activity, and league information.

Users must be at least 13 years old to create and manage their own account. If a swimmer is under 13, a parent or legal guardian should create and manage the account until Lane includes a dedicated child-account and guardian-consent flow.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to update it when needed.

Swim and team data

Lane lets you enter swim times, goals, achievements, meet schedules, team membership, messages, posts, and uploaded heat-sheet PDFs. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter or upload.

When you join a team, certain profile and swim information may be visible to other team members, coaches, or administrators so team features can work.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Lane to harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm another person.
• Do not upload content that you do not have permission to share.
• Do not attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Do not interfere with Lane's systems, security, or availability.
• Do not use Lane for unlawful activity.

Coaches and team administrators

Team administrators and coaches are responsible for managing team access appropriately. If you invite swimmers, families, or coaches to a team, only invite people who belong to that team or have a legitimate reason to access the team workspace.

Third-party services

Lane uses third-party services including Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

Privacy

Your use of Lane is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

No professional advice

Lane helps organize swim information and training progress. It does not provide medical, safety, or professional coaching advice. Always follow your coach's guidance, pool safety rules, and applicable meet rules.

Changes to Lane

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features over time. We may also update these Terms. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice in the app.

Termination

You may stop using Lane at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if an account violates these Terms, creates risk for other users, or is used unlawfully.

Disclaimers

Lane is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all swim data will always be accurate or available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lane will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill arising from your use of the app.
